KD Connect Privacy Policy

1. Overview

KD Connect LLC ("KD Connect," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the rights you have over your data.

This policy applies to all KD Connect services, including our website, client portal, and SMS/email communications.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: - Identity and contact info: name, email address, phone number, business name - Billing info: payment method (handled and stored by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers), billing address - Service info: tasks you submit, materials you share, communications with your VA team, notification preferences

We also collect information automatically: - Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent in the portal - Device info: browser type, IP address, device identifiers, operating system - Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookies section below

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: - Provide and maintain KD Connect services - Process payments and subscriptions - Send transactional communications (account notices, billing, task updates) - Send SMS messages you have consented to receive (see Section 5) - Provide customer support - Improve our services and develop new features - Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Information Sharing

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

- Service providers: payment processing (Stripe), authentication (Clerk), database (Supabase), hosting (Vercel), email/SMS infrastructure providers, and similar vendors that help us operate the platform. These providers are bound by contract to use your data only as needed to provide their service.

- Your assigned VA team: virtual assistants assigned to your account access information necessary to perform tasks for you. They are bound by written confidentiality obligations.

- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of KD Connect, our clients, or others.

- Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the new owner under terms substantially similar to this policy.

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information (including your phone number or SMS consent) with third parties for their marketing purposes.

5. SMS / Text Messaging

When you create an account, you opt in to receive SMS messages from KD Connect at the phone number you provide. We use SMS for account notices, task and workflow updates, scheduling reminders, and (only if you separately opt in via portal settings) optional service updates and tips.

You can opt out of non-essential SMS at any time. Reply STOP to any text message we send to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your account activity.

You can manage granular SMS preferences (which categories you receive) in your portal under Settings → Notifications.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We will not share your phone number or your SMS consent with any third party for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are stored only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and are deleted upon account closure, except where retention is required by law.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session, remember preferences, and analyze how the portal is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect portal functionality.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use advertising trackers or retargeting cookies.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and trusted third-party infrastructure providers.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for promptly notifying us at support@kdconnect.co of any suspected unauthorized access.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account closure, we retain transaction and billing records as required by law (typically 7 years for tax purposes), and may retain anonymized usage data for analytics.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@kdconnect.co. We will delete or anonymize your information unless retention is legally required.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: - Access the personal information we hold about you - Correct inaccurate information - Request deletion of your information - Object to or restrict certain processing - Withdraw consent (including for SMS) at any time - Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of any sale of personal information. KD Connect does not sell personal information.

10. Children

KD Connect is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@kdconnect.co and we will delete it.

11. International Users

KD Connect is operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through your client portal at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of KD Connect after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
